If an internal gRPC service should be reached directly, gRPC-Go provides a connection option for that route:

conn, err := grpc.NewClient(
    "dns:///rpc.internal.example:443",
    grpc.WithTransportCredentials(transportCredentials),
    grpc.WithNoProxy(),
)

The grpc import is google.golang.org/grpc. transportCredentials is the application’s existing credentials.TransportCredentials configuration. Handle err and close conn through the normal client lifecycle.

WithNoProxy disables proxy use for this ClientConn. It leaves other clients and the process’s proxy environment unchanged. The destination must be directly reachable from the application’s network.

The option is ignored when WithDialer or WithContextDialer supplies a custom connection path; that dialer owns its routing decisions. The upstream API is marked experimental, so check it against the installed grpc-go version.

NewClient creates a client channel without proving that a network connection has succeeded. The subsequent RPC or connection-state result provides that evidence. Bypassing a proxy does not require disabling TLS.
