A PAC File That Chooses DIRECT for Every URL

A managed PAC URL can remain in place while its routing decision becomes entirely direct:

Clients using this script receive a deliberate route without an intermediary. The PAC setting still exists; its answer is direct for each URL.

This can be useful while retiring a parent proxy without changing the delivery URL configured on every participating device. Serve the actual script at that established URL, preserving the deployment's normal delivery and update arrangement.

Account for client caching and refresh behavior. Replacing the server's file does not synchronously replace every client's already loaded script. Nor does a new decision move an established connection off its old tunnel.

A fixed proxy configured in another application is outside this PAC decision. The direct answer governs clients that fetch and evaluate this script, and direct connections still need a working network route to their destinations.
