Quarkus 3.40 REST Client: Select a Named Proxy Registry Entry
In Quarkus 3.40, map the inventory configKey to office while keeping the API URL separate and retaining the registry's preview status.
quarkus.proxy.office.host=proxy.example.net
quarkus.proxy.office.port=8080
quarkus.proxy.office.type=HTTP
quarkus.rest-client.inventory.url=https://inventory.example.net/api
quarkus.rest-client.inventory.proxy-configuration-name=officeThis applies to an existing Quarkus REST Client with @RegisterRestClient(configKey = "inventory"). inventory identifies that client and office the reusable proxy entry. The URL remains the inventory API. If it is publicly reachable and public-proxy access is permitted, the HTTP proxy list supplies candidates for the named entry’s HTTP host and port.
Another REST client can reference office too. Merely defining the name does not assign it to every client; an unreferenced client uses a configured default registry proxy if one exists.
When the intermediary needs an account, supply quarkus.proxy.office.username and quarkus.proxy.office.password through the application's configuration source.
The Proxy Registry is documented as preview in Quarkus 3.40. Use the matching REST Client integration; older releases and RESTEasy Classic have their own supported configuration.
