The browser points to Burp, the page keeps loading, and an HTTP request is visible under Proxy → Intercept. Check the interception toggle before changing ports.

With Intercept on, Burp deliberately holds matching requests before sending them to the server. Click Forward to release the selected request. A page can make several requests, so forwarding one may reveal another waiting item.

For normal browsing while recording traffic, switch to Intercept off. Requests can pass through Burp without stopping for manual approval. They remain available in Proxy → HTTP history, where you can inspect the request and response afterward.

Turning interception off does not remove Burp from the browser's configured route. It changes whether requests pause there.

If the waiting request is absent, or the request passes onward and returns another error, investigate that separate observation. An interception queue explains a request that has arrived and is being held; it cannot explain every browser connection failure.
