Use Chrome’s Full Windows Installer When Proxy Downloads Fail
Use the official Windows deployment package when the small installer cannot download the browser through the network’s proxy.
A small online installer still needs a working download path after it starts. If that stage cannot use the corporate proxy, obtain the complete Windows installation package through an approved connection instead.
Google’s Chrome Enterprise Windows bundle includes the browser’s MSI installer alongside policy templates. Choose the package matching the intended platform and deployment. Copying a tiny bootstrap installer to another machine does not make its browser payload available offline.
This moves installation-package retrieval to a route that works. It does not configure proxy access for subsequent browsing or updates. Keep Google Update’s network and policy requirements in the deployment plan so an initially successful installation can continue receiving updates.
