In an existing Grails 2.5.6 command-line environment, create a named proxy configuration and activate that name:

grails add-proxy office --host=proxy.example --port=8080
grails set-proxy office

The first command defines the endpoint. The second selects the configuration Grails should use for its internet operations, such as retrieving plug-ins. Use the host and port supplied for that workspace’s network. An HTTP entry from the HTTP proxy list can be used when that workspace permits an unauthenticated public route to its public plug-in repository.

Keeping the name explicit makes switching between saved configurations predictable. Defining a second profile is not itself proof that the second one became active.

This workflow belongs to the Grails 2 CLI. A project using a later Gradle-based build needs its corresponding build-tool configuration rather than assuming these historical commands configure every generation of Grails.
