Aws::S3::S3Client s3(config);

Place this inside the application's existing AWS SDK initialization and shutdown lifecycle, and use its workload region. The proxy values must be set before S3Client is constructed; changing the local configuration afterward does not update the existing client. For a public S3 endpoint on a route that permits public proxies, choose an HTTP candidate from the HTTP proxy list before constructing the client.

proxyHost holds just the hostname. The scheme and port have their own fields. proxyScheme = HTTP describes the connection to the intermediary and leaves the S3 endpoint's HTTPS protocol unchanged.

If the proxy needs an account, populate proxyUserName and proxyPassword from the application's credential handling before that construction point too.

For system discovery instead of an explicit endpoint, the documented allowSystemProxy option is disabled by default. Enabling it delegates discovery to the supported underlying HTTP client; check that backend's platform behavior before relying on a browser, PAC or environment setting.
