Compare Firefox Troubleshoot Mode Before Resetting Proxy Settings
Use the temporary extension-free launch, then separate extension behavior from a saved unreachable proxy.
Open Help → Troubleshoot Mode, restart and choose Open. If the normal window cannot start, use the actual executable with:

Troubleshoot Mode also changes themes, acceleration and other customizations, so its success does not identify the extension alone. It does not reset every saved preference either.
Restore the connection policy the network actually requires, including managed/system configuration. Refresh Firefox is a separate permanent reset and is unnecessary for this temporary comparison. The command retains the old Safe Mode spelling.
