The asynchronous googletrans Translator exposes a singular proxy argument and passes it to HTTPX's AsyncClient:

import asyncio
from googletrans import Translator

async def main():
    async with Translator(proxy='http://proxy.example:8080') as translator:
        translated = await translator.translate('Bonjour', dest='en')
        print(translated.text)

asyncio.run(main())

The async context closes the underlying HTTP client. Calling translate without awaiting it belongs to a different API shape and does not perform this asynchronous operation.

The proxy URL can name an ordinary HTTP listener even though the translation endpoint uses HTTPS. For a permitted test with non-sensitive text, the HTTP proxy list supplies public endpoint candidates. A proxy account, when required, uses that URL's properly encoded user information or HTTPX's supported proxy configuration.

Older examples passed proxies mappings containing internal httpcore.SyncHTTPProxy objects. Those depend on older googletrans and httpcore interfaces. Do not combine them with this public asynchronous constructor.

googletrans implements a Google Translate web interface; it is a different package and authentication model from the official Google Cloud Translation SDK. Confirm which client the application actually imports before applying its proxy configuration.
